About
This castle dates back to 1024 and is surrounded by a moat. It consists of a 15th-century square tower, a 17th-century central section and a 17th- and 18th-century east wing, all of which form a unique and harmonious ensemble. Listed as a historic monument for its roofs, façades, part of its gardens, chapel and salons, the château is a privately owned property that has remained in the same family since its construction. Although the interior is not open to visitors, access to the grounds is free of charge. Boussay is also a small, unspoilt village with a magnificent view of the village rooftops when approached from the south. The Jean Dufy trail and the Chemin de Sens offer peaceful, cultural walking trails.
