Château de Grillemont

The first castle, belonging to Geoffroy de Grillemont, dates back to the 11th century. Major work was carried out in the 15th century by its new owners, the Lescoet family, who held high positions under King Louis XI. Shortly before the Revolution, it was acquired by F-B Dangé d'Orsay, who transformed the medieval fortress into an 18th-century residence. The various owners in the early 19th century left their mark before it was bought, empty and almost abandoned, by the Lecointre family in 1850.
